I'm the author of two non-fiction books, Homo Domesticus and A Little Fruitcake (both from Da Capo Press), as well as a dozen plays, including Brave Navigator (Baker's Plays), and several screenplays.  My next non-ficition book is The Rhinestone Sisterhood, about a season among American small-town festival queens, coming in 2010 from Crown Books.
